There’s no denying that MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, generates a substantial income.

The famous YouTuber earns between $600 million and $700 million annually from his YouTube ventures and Feastables food brand. However, despite these impressive figures, Donaldson insists he isn’t wealthy.

With a staggering 258 million subscribers, his videos consistently achieve well over 100 million views.

“Each video generates a few million in ad revenue and a few million from brand deals,” he shared with Time Magazine, which highlighted that companies pay between $2.5 million and $3 million for a mention in his videos.

Nevertheless, this income doesn’t simply line his pockets. In fact, Donaldson revealed that he doesn’t have direct access to his finances.

“I don’t have access to any of my bank accounts,” he explained. “I have a CFO and everything, but my mom controls the master bank account.”

Instead, he reinvests the earnings into expanding his brand and audience.

“I’ve reinvested everything to an extent that might seem reckless, just trusting in our success,” he said. “And it’s paid off.”

This reinvestment strategy includes funding elaborate and costly stunts, like purchasing a grocery store and offering $10,000 daily to a contestant who can live there. A project involving 12,000 hours of footage might be edited down to a 15-minute video, as reported by Time.

Despite his reinvestment approach, Donaldson isn’t living frugally. He employs a personal chef and a trainer, according to Time, and resides in a 3,000-square-foot home he bought for $320,000 in 2018, noted by the New York Post.

As he continues to expand his empire, Donaldson acknowledges that financial rewards might come his way eventually.

“I’m not naive; maybe one day,” he said about becoming rich. “But right now, whatever we make, we reinvest.”
